Masoud holds a Ph.D. Degree in the field of structural engineering with a specialty in structural health monitoring (SHM). He is currently a Tenure Track Assistant Professor at Southern Utah University where he works as a full-time professor in the Department of Engineering and Computational Science. With more than 7 years of industry experience, He has been the director of research and development of Metal Fatigue Solutions, Inc. where he helped the company with the development of infrastructure sensing technologies and data-driven SHM methods. Consequently, he has been the health monitoring department manager for the Mageba group and EnTech Engineering PC where he applied SHM techniques for mega-sized infrastructures located in the US and Canada.
